Where to Stay

You will find many options for stay spread across Búzios. Whether you're after a luxury resort, a shared home with friends, or a budget-friendly-no-frills experience, Búzios has options that suit every need. Below you'll find some of Shelby and Miguel's recommendations.

Location wise, there will be no "wrong" option. Búzios is a fairly small town spread across a peninsula, and everything is easily accessible. Taxis and Ubers are cheap, safe, and readily available to take you wherever you need, with most rides taking less than 10 minutes. See map below to get a general feel for the area and some recommendations on where to stay.

If you're traveling with a group, Airbnbs are also widely available and seem to be a great (and reasonably priced!) option

  • We saved a list of homes that we thought looked nice here

Overall, our experience with accommodations in Brazil is that you get what you pay for.

Our goal with the recommendations here is to provide a high and low end in regards to quality and price, from which you're then able to make the decision that's best for you. When deciding where to stay, make sure you read reviews and prioritize pictures posted by travelers over what you see directly on hotel websites to give you a realistic sense of what accommodations are actually like (TripAdvisor is a helpful resource there!).

If you have any questions or need more suggestions, please feel free to reach out to Shelby and Miguel.
